An Chul Choire and Summit Gully, return visit (video and map of first trip here from last year: - http://www.steepscotland.info/aonach_mor.cfm)
Not quite as much snow as last year but gully still holds snow really well, careful not to go too far left as cliff band at the bottom.
:: Weather Conditions
Excellent clarity and lovely views. Warm in the sun with almost no wind. Wind picked up after 3pm and started to cloud over but still best day of season so far.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Very variable, perfect powder low on summit gully and slopes below down to bottom of Braveheart. Pretty good powder in An Chul Choire and lovely ridge descent down to col above. Some areas of wind slab and/or ice especially at tops of slopes or on ridges.

Two night stay at the CIC hut situated underneath the North Face of Ben Nevis. Hiked up after a day's skiing at Nevis Range. Group split on the ascent from the CIC with the guys opting for Coire Leis while I favoured Observatory/Tower gully route. Headed en masse for Gully No 4 given the firmness of the headwalls. Skied No 4 and then hiked back up Coire Na Ciste to the narrows of No 3 for a bonus run : )
:: Weather Conditions
Blue skies, light winds, excellent visibility. FL 900n
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Gully headwalls very firm but lower down the snow was softer with excellent conditions in Coire Na Ciste.

A two night trip into the North Face of Ben Nevis. Hiked in after a great day at Nevis Range. Two lines of ascent used - High Rustler up Tower Gully and the non alpinists up Coire Leis which turned into a mini-moment on the 'Slope of Doom'. Various descent lines inspected. No.4 went first followed by a re-hike up to the narrows of No.3. Two great descents. Weather turned overnight so we hiked out for a pint and burger at the Ben Nevis Inn. Classic weekend.
:: Weather Conditions
Superb! Except Monday morning which was wet and then turned out nice.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Good snow cover above 800m. Firm on the headwalls but some great snow in the gullies/snow-fields below.

Up Observatory gully into Tower Gully and then to the summit of Ben Nevis. Skied back down Tower gully to 804m and then booted it up onto the summit of Carn Mor Dearg from where we skied down the corrie immediately to the north. Walk out down the Allt Daim to the tree's and then picked our way down the bike tracks back to the North face car park
:: Weather Conditions
Brilliant to start and then quickly clouding over with heavy snow showers and thick cloud with some clearances. Freezing circa 900m
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Ben Nevis - Perfect powder until level with Tower Scoop from where there was significant avalanche debris and a hard crust to contend with before lower down it turned into fantastic spring snow.
Carn Mor Dearg - fantastic smooth powder turning into fantastic spring snow all the way from the summit to 800m
