Left the summit tow of Aonach Mor and descended the west face to the col with Carn Mor Dearg. Took a rising traverse up to the CMD arete on skins and foot. Across the CMD arete and on to the shoulder of Ben Nevis. Skins back on for the final climb to the summit. Descent via the Red Burn to around 650m. The walk out was a bonus.
:: Weather Conditions
Bluebird to being with then high level cloud. Windy across the CMD arete which made for some interesting moments while carrying the skis.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Bullet proof on the top part of Aonach Mor west face (we eventually found a softer line) then soft deep snow for the climb up to CMD. Windpacked and sastrugi over the summit turning to nice spring snow on the descent. The main issue was avoiding all those footprints - just how many people have been up there ?!

Snow cover all the way from the Aonach Mor top gondola to just above the halfway lochan on the Ben.

Hiked up from North Face car park to CIC hut and then up No 3 Gully on Ben Nevis. Climbed up to just below the cornice. Found Doug's platform from last weekend's trip (thanks Doug!) and set off from there. Skied 1000ft descent to the lochan in Coire Na Ciste and met up with Jungle. Hiked up again with Jungle for a second run.
:: Weather Conditions
Blue sky day. Perfect conditions.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Excellent spring snow. Well worth the hike! Unlike No 5 the previous weekend, the snow was much better packed with no avalanche debris.
