Carn Ealasaid from the Lecht car park.
A short tour up the pistes and across to Carn Ealasaid. Return via the pistes (although had a couple of descents to the Camore Burn to make the most of the conditions)

The usual mix - wind blown powder, breakable crusts etc etc. East facing slopes have significant accumulations.

A quick tour up Ben Rinnes from the Southern car parking area. Stopped shy of the summit and traversed North and then down one of the burn lines to the landrover tack and onwards to the road.
:: Weather Conditions
Lovely bright day with a bit of a breeze, but nothing crazy.
Ran out of time and light to reach the summit and return safely, so took the route mentioned above.
Freezing level down below the car at 450m the whole time.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Skins on from the car and just a few rocks to avoid on the way up.
Unconsolidated wind blown powder with no base whatsoever as you would expect, but a nice wee trip for my first of the season.

Windy, showers
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Ridged up top heavy at bottom, not the best, I possibly chose the wrong side to descent (south side - north side looked better)

started from B9002 1km SSE of "elrick" farm.
headed across moor towards Scad Hill, then up Kebbuck Knowe, after that North to "The Buck" @721m.
Skiied 200m vertical down West side of Buck on lovely sun-softened spring snow.
Then back up to summit, and skiied down East side back to car - snow much firmer here since sun had moved on.
:: Weather Conditions
Clear and plenty sunshine.
freezing level ~650m - but snow softness depened on aspect and facing sun.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
spring snow lower down upto 600m, then still spring snow in sunny slopes, firmer in shade.
Did the route on fishscale Fischer E109.
fast travelling and good fun tele skiing on the spring snow.

Cairnagour Hill and Mona Gowan (West of Morven), from A939
:: Weather Conditions
Horrendous! Very windy and very wet. FL well above the tops.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Suprisingly good in the morning. Spring snow. Skied back to the road. All recessed hill tracks are complete and 90% of stream gullies are full. Good wide section of snow all along the ridge makes progress easy, and it has drifted up to within 2" of the top of the fence in places too. Still enough snow for a longer tour.
