• View Photos •:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden Dundreich from Westloch via Portmore Loch. Main descent down the west slope into the Loch Burn.
:: Weather ConditionsOvercast, but tops clear. Road side temp -3. Easterly wind (approx 20-30 mph on top). Slight sleet all way round.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionOverall good cover. Possible to ski straight from road (access roads clear). Exposed areas crusty. Lee slopes in superb condition.

Forestry trails round Raecleugh Rig, off A702, Devil's Beef Tub
:: Weather ConditionsMostly dull, windy, occasional snow flurry
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionGood Nordic skiing in forest on mostly powder on hard-packed base, once past the initial dip down to a burn (5 minutes of combat skiing over tussocks, but worth it to get to the good stuff on the other side). Beattock side of the ridge less covered.

:: Weather ConditionsBroken sunshine, freezing at all levels and gale force winds.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionEastern aspects stripped, western aspects loaded. Mix of powder and storm packed slab.

:: Weather ConditionsBroken cloud, freezing above 400 metres.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionPockets of packed powder, sastrugi, neve, rocks and heather. Thin in places.

:: Weather ConditionsSunny, increasing wind in the afternoon.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionGood cover but mixed. Some very good patches of hard packed wind blown snow on the northern slopes leading down to Great Knock.
