:: Weather ConditionsDrove as far as I could before the road became impassable, although it didn't stop a few sunday drivers getting stuck... Blue skies all afternoon.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionBiting cold wind at around 20mph. Air temp around 2 degrees but windchill pretty high Masses of snow, really deep in the gullies, but typical Scottish Skiing!
Wind blown powder, ice, sastrugi, spring snow, heather, grass, rock... Everything! But hey, its the 1st April and I am skiing in the Southern Uplands! Southern Uplands - Mon 1st Apr 2013

Whiteadder Reservoir circumnav-ish
:: Weather Conditions50% Cloudy/sunny spells. O degrees.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionAbsolutely shedloads of snow still. Surfac fairly varied. Road up from Garvald pretty demanding and nearly every passing space filled with tons of ploughed snow. Needed to breath in lots to let cars pass : -)

• View Photos •:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden Parked at the Scottish Water building at 4pm-ish and eventually skinned up to the top of Harestone Hill.
:: Weather ConditionsSkied down and skinned back up, watched the sun set and came down by headtorch. Calm/negligible wind. Sun/cloud.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionUnconsolidated relatively fresh surface...awesome cover!

• View Photos •:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden Minchmoor from MTB car park and up to Southern Upland Way. Return same way from summit.
:: Weather ConditionsNordic touring gear. Windy, sheltered in forest, brutal in the open. Snow showers and loads of spindrift.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionHeavy powder low down, roads in good nick. Very fine wind packed snow on the Minchmoor road. Sun crust around the summit. No numpties walking in tracks, so had my own tracks for the descent through the forest.

• View Photos •:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden Glentress Forest Roads. Walked up to near the Buzzard's Nest car park and then got the skis on.
:: Weather ConditionsBelow zero from Peel car park upwards.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionSnow deep and soft making progress hard work but a lovely place to spend a bit of time kicking, if not gliding so much!
