Glenshee to Glas Maol. From Glenshee carpark carried to bottom of Caenlochan tow and skinned up the uptrack. Had to carry again as far as the summit dome of Glas Maol. Was short of time so returned via the Glas Maol red (on lovely soft and untouched spring snow complete to the lifts in Coire Fionn). Hoofed up by the Fionn pomas & managed to ski to not far from the Odhar cafe, plus a short section on sunnyside.
:: Weather Conditions
30-40 mph wind, FL above summits. Cloud at carpark level, but cleared just as I started the descent : -)
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Glas Maol gullies still loaded with beautiful creamy spring down to the lifts. Not a whole lot elsewhere in the ski area, although still some massive drifts. Expect other gullies on same aspect equally loaded, but hoofing required to reach.

Lawers and Ghlas. Up through Coire Odhar straight onto Lawers.Down W flank of Lawers then up the ridge to Ghlas. Descent from summit direct into Coire Odhar.
:: Weather Conditions
Outstanding! Ma face is skelpin!
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Uninterrupted. Some scrapy bits and the odd bit of sastrugi from Lawers summit. One lumpy icy section about 2/3 way down Ghlas. Otherwise sumptuous, well bonded soft slab everywhere. Down to about 600m it still had individual crystals shining away in the sun so it's not been through much temp. met.

Lawers/Beinn Ghlas. Parked just above carpark - road impassable with drifts frozen hard. Skinned from roadside west of fencing and up to summit of Beinn Ghlas. Had runs from 1100m down to 750m to 800m on the four south facing gulleys which were sheltered and had accumulated fresh powder. Returned down Coire a Chonnaidh and round into Coire Odhar, Snow on shoulder seriously good so climbed up from fencing to 900m shoulder S of Corranaich for last run back down to car. 10pm to 4pm
:: Weather Conditions
Sunny with some cloud. Strong Northerly easing then returning after about an hour. Freezing down to 400m
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Varied but nearly all good. Seems to have been rained on at some point , refrozen then either had a modified hoar surface or accumulated windblown powder. Superb windblown in the high S facing gulleys but the snow from 800m down to 600m was also outstanding. Firm, smooth and flat with a grippy silky surface that was fantastic for carving on. Some hard polished areas near summit.
:: Skiers/Riders
All mates either flying, housebuilding, gine to Nevis or had "something else on " Losers!
