Parked on the "Rest and be Thankfull" then walked up the glen between the Cobbler and Ben Ime. Skis on at the little dam, up the headwall to the Bealach a Mhaim and on to the top of Ben Ime. Boarded back down to the little dam then walked back out.

Pretty much clear and sunny, just the odd cloud. Light wind on the summit ridge but still lower down. Temps around freezing.

Varied a lot. Not really enough snow over here yet. Hard windblown slabby snow near the top, softer but still a bit slabby lower down. Lots of water ice runs higher up too. Plenty of grass boarding and comedy crashes lower down.

Spot on. Deep cover on all the hill from car park up - Areas of heather more tricky but grass areas beautiful. Special powder stash below Turnhouse hill that needed skied several times!

I had a look at Ben Lomond but the snow wasn't low enough. Ben Challum from Kirkton Farm (N of Crianlarich) was back up plan. Skinned from car over foothills and up SW face to pick best line for descent. Skins on for (all of) traverse of ridge between summits both ways.

Minus 8 in the valley. Bright blue sky with more cloud later. Little wind except over 900m. Excellent views all round.

Rock free linked turns confined to upper slopes. Little frozen snow although I did see crampon prints between the summits. Coire Challum was less well filled than the SW side. Lots of hidden rocks on lower slopes. Definitely a day for using a helmet.

Just past the Ben Lawers vistors centre, we set out from the side of the dam up Meal Corranaich. Returning by same route.

Rain, sleet, snow and quite windy on the top. Freezing level estimated at around 850 metres.

Had to carry skis for couple of hundred metres before we could get the skins on. Improved as we climbed but snow was still quite heavy. Managed a few decent turns on descent - 1st of the season woo hoo!

Actually toured on Sunday 29. Started and finished by Green Welly, Tyndrum. Cycled to the Ben Lui gold mines. Tried climbing 3 different lines up central gulley but funked the increased exposure above the rocky crux, each time digging a platform and descending on ski. Back the way I came.

Dry, starting sunny and steadily thickening cloud

Very mixed; some of upper slope smooth hard pack, but much there was also unpleasant hard, crust, breakable in places and patches of rough windpack. Lower snow was skiable crust. Conditions were much better on the Aonach Mor back cories on Saturday.
