Carn a Claise and Carn nan Turc. Skied in anticlockwise direction with fine finish sking NE gully
:: Weather Conditions
Some cloud on the peaks but bright and sunny for a lot of the time
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Fantastic! Hard and solid on the tops and a little scoured but the cover is amazing. Above 800 meters there is full and virtually unbroken cover. The ski down the NE gulley is wide and as the day warmed up was softening nicely. There is plenty of leads to the valley floor and after crossing the road and putting the skis on we did not take them off until returned to the car.

Parked off A93, 2km north of cairnwell pass. Skinned up Carn an Tuirc via old ski tow, then headed to Carn of Claise, down towards Glas Maol, but cut back to car via ridge between Coire Fionn/Garbh-Choire. Descended down to Allt a Gharb-choire via NE side of ridge.
:: Weather Conditions
Wind not too bad, 20mph. Weather blue sky and sunny spells and cloud. Cloud obscured view on occaisions. Freezing level around 700m, snow nice spring snow below this. Above freezing level mixture of wind-blown powder pockets and icy snow - non-breakable crust on skis. Not quite boiler plate!.

best snow on W-SW facing slopes i.e. lee of prevailing NE/E winds. Was able to ski from car on A93.

In summary nice touring conditions.

Mar Lodeg to Creag Bhalg and descent east to Glen Quoich and then track ski back to Mar Lodge via Puch Bowl.
:: Weather Conditions
Heavy snow and strong winds providing challenging conditions. Warming up a bit about 1.30pm and then slight snow showers.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Full deep cover bit unconsolidated in places. Some old snow pack evident. Deep soft on NE through to East aspects, making difficult decent on easier angled slopes. Full depth penetration at treeline although snow slightly easier to ski as less disturbed.
