:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
Beinn a' Bhuird - walked up Glen Quoich towards The Sneck, then skied up to plateau from c.1km S of Sneck, and around plateau rim for a few km. Then down towards col N of Beinn Bhreac, and walked out to car.
:: Weather Conditions
Calm, sunny, warm enough for T shirts on the tops. And yet mysteriously cold and icy in the shade...
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Very variable - soft dampish powdery stuff, ice, neve in places. Good where it was good (mainly up to the W of the Sneck on the SE-facing slopes), generally icy SW facing except in direct sunlight.
Cover thin in many places - rocks and bits of grass sticking through in exposed plateau areas, less so on SE-facing slopes.
Most snow above 950m - only smallish patches below.
Beautiful day though.
