Newburgh beach sand dunes . Started at the car park and followed the boardwalk into the dunes . The wooden boards gave a nice run out . One or two dunes with no grass gave short runs where a few linked turns were possible.
:: Weather Conditions
NE wind with heavy snow showers coming in from offshore. Temp +2 at sea level.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Very dry 2 inch layer of snow on top of firm sand.

Tyrebagger hill to Dyce, round north side of Aberdeen airport. Skis on beside the A96 & didn't take them off until crossing the A947 to the bus stop.
:: Weather Conditions
Frequent heavy showers of snow & hail, causing navigation problems even though I know the forest well. Very unpleasant on top by the watchtower as this area has been felled, so there is no shelter. Freezing at sea level a.m., rising to about 150m p.m.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Heavy & deep (>25cm). Very slow going in untracked snow (no other skiers). My Nordic skis are a bit narrow for such conditions - wider would be better - & I might have been faster on my Alpine touring skis.
