:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
Traverse Ben Wyvis. Access via forestry tracks (412680) skin up to Meallan Donn Carn Gorm, to Tom a' Choinnich. short descent on good powdery snow to bealach then skin to summit then to top of s facing corrie at (455675). Excellent descent down to Allt a' Bhealaich Mhoir then skin down footpath to road.
:: Weather Conditions
Mixed visibility deteriorating to near whiteout on summit ridge in snow showers. Very cold on top! Sunshine on lower part of descent.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Full cover. New powdery snow in forestry and lower slopes. Unconsolidated snow on ascent route with more scoured areas exposed to NW wind. Some icy patches but easily avoided. Wind packed powder on sheltered aspects and approx 20cm deep on base in descent corrie. lower down a mixture of slabby and unconsolidated.
