Visibility improved a bit in afternoon. Looking across Dee to high tops.

Crags of Cnapan Nathraichean. Wild snow plumes off tops.

Good cover above trees.

Woods are just skiable; scenic but challenging.

Ballochbuie - Blackshiel Burn - Cnapan Nathraichean then descent burn line that leads past Prince's Stone then back through Ballochbuie to W gate.

Stormy. Cloud base c. 750m with strong to violent winds on summits. Crossing col was an experience in tenacity.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Excellent snow above 600m, a bit softer below that. The descent of the NE trending burn line was well worth the effort. Skiable in woods from about 450m, a bit slushy below that and on tracks. Some challenging soft snow over heather and had buried pine wind-fall.
