Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
started at hillend carpark before the sun came up. skinned up to caerketton hill and then along the ridge to the summit of allermuir hill. skied south from there on the best snow of the day (hardpacked smooth fresh. soft on top) down to the bern and then headed south east slmost until the confluence and then headed north up to the ridge and back down towards the golf course. then in the car and made it to my 10am lecture! whole trip took about 2hours 15
:: Weather Conditions
bluebird. cold. hardly a breath of wind
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
exellent even where heather was poking through. best snow i experienced was on south and east facing slopes. but pretty much everywhere was skiable. snow is wind packed enough rocks weren't a worry. and soft enough to put in really nice turns. felt similar to a groomed piste. strongly recomend a wee trip before work/uni/school!
