More fun for me going up than down in the freeride area

View across the tweed valley

What are these guys doing in my snow park?

Not quite as much snow as glenmore but not bad!

Looking back on the bike trail on the ascent to Buzzard's nest

Fun to be had in freeride area

Follow the animal tracks!

Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
Glentress forest. Bottom car park up to Buzzards Nest via combination of walkers & bike trails and then up through free ride area and along the forestry road to the east completing a circular route back down via the ponds.

Forestry roads had been snowploughed... a bit over zealously in parts removing all the snow and some of the road surface.
:: Weather Conditions
Nice day. Cold, generally sunny with occassional snow flurries. -6 all day in car park. No wind.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
At least a foot in the bottom, nearer two feet at 400m. Cold powdery snow. A couple of groups of bikers out but confined to the ploughed forestry roads, just too deep elsewhere.
:: Skiers/Riders
Rob.
