Descending from West Kip looking for snow not affected by the wind

Where has yesterday's powder gone?

Ah, that's better..... HighRustler making some powder turns on West Kip

Tree skiing anyone?

View from the summit of West Kip, the wind has stripped a lot of the snow from near the summit but it's still perfectly skiable

West Kip summit looking a little less covered than yesterday

Spindrift....

Who put that fence there?

Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
As yesterday. Ascent from Nine Mile Burn to West Kip, returning by route of ascent.
:: Weather Conditions
1c at car. Strong E wind, c 40mph on exposed ridges. Visibility good out of spindrift.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Slight thaw at lower levels. Thin crust forming on lower slopes making for slightly trickier skiing. Strong E wind has dramatically changed the snow cover stripping the snow from any exposed ridges or slopes. Good snow still to be found in sheltered areas, albeit a little more wind affected than yesterday.
