Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
From layby at (633752). Skinned from west side of railway along Coire Dhomhain track to burn junction at (622751). Cross burn and then ascent to east ridge and summit Sgairneach Mhor. Descent west to Carn Lo Loumhaidh, up Beiin Udlamain. Short steeper descent from summit down SE face for about 150 m then traverse to col bewteen BU and A Mharconaich. Climb to Summit AM and then descent via Bruach nan lomairean. Ski along track to railway line.
:: Weather Conditions
Sunny, very warm at times becoming cloudier late afternoon. Snow showers to north. Fantastic views to south, west and east.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Crusty ascent but this held the weight for most of the route. Memo - lay off the pies and beer! Good snow on descent of Sgairneach Mhor and almost spring snow on steeper descent of SE aspect of Beinn Udlamain. Snow thawing on ascent to A Mharconaich which made descent tricky down Bruach nan lomairean in deeper snow at lower level.
:: Skiers/Riders
