see attached map - mix of forest trails and out on open hillside
:: Weather Conditions
cloud base around 500m, freezing level 500-600m
mainly dry, but sleet and snow during last 20mins
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
still deep, though some snow loss lower down,
1/2 ski pole deep on hillside, and drifts several metres deep by trails
so plenty snow left and you can ski anywhere

Haute Route via Highland Fling and Shortcut. Plus on tele skis I skied one of the steeper forest glades off the Haute Route.
:: Weather Conditions
Sunny, was about 2C in teh carpark when I arrived and about 3C when I left, but no sign of any melt.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Started icy, but softened up during the day - best where pisted or untracked

started forestry entrance up the road from carpark. along lower route in forest and round upto Haute Route. Left trail NE of Mount of Haddoch, and skiied upto Mount of Haddoch, then followed Western edge of forest all way back to road to south, skiing on fantastic snow on moorland.
:: Weather Conditions
good visibility, cold S wind
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
very firm/icy in forest where skidoo and ski tracks had frozen overnight. had a few falls on descents.
Best snow by far was out on Mount of Haddoch and to West of the forest on the open hillside. One of the best ski experiences i have had a clash - could get a good speed going on the firm snow, with soft top 1-2". could have skied for miles!

From the entrance did an anticlockwise Haute Route via Highland Fling. Then started a second lap, but headed up Shortcut and onto the Haute Route but now clockwise so I got to ski down Highland Fling
:: Weather Conditions
Cold, occasional snow showers mainly no wind. Freezing level sea level.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
2-6 inches of fresh soft snow that has now been pisted and two tracks set on the Haute Route and on the traingle around the biathlon range
