:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
Tour of Hart Fell. Started at Devil's Beef Tub on A701 N of Moffat, ascended Hart Fell (808m) via Annanhead Hill, Chalk Rig Edge and Whitehope Knowe. Descend via Nubbery Knowes and Black Hope to Capplegill on A708 (two cars required) 10.2 miles
:: Weather Conditions
0c at car. Wind 20-30mph on exposed ridges. Good visibility below 780m in general
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Hart Fell and surrounding area has been stripped of snow on exposed aspects due to recent strong winds. Thinner cover than of late but fine for touring. No powder turns however! Wind packed snow on many aspects. Skis on for the duration of the tour with the exception of two short occasions
