Lawers Range,Started below the center as couldn't get the car any further up the road. Skied all the way to the top of Beinn Ghlas. We were down to T-shirts/base layers on the final ascent. It was warm, sunny and no breeze. Broke my bindings and had to walk all the way back down. But still an amazing day. Best ever for pure enjoyment of fantastic weather.
:: Weather Conditions
Top Notch, Warm Sunny Perfect blue skies, visibility fantastic. Could not have been more perfect
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Very good, Cover all the way down, Good light crust on the snow and very fast.

Ben Ime from Glen Croe.Hiked to top then had a couple of runs down the burn that flows south from the summit.The burn starts at around 900m and holds snow well,managed to get down to 600m.
:: Weather Conditions
clag from 300m, raining at the car ,winds light and south easterly,freezing level around 800m.The cloud cleared briefly at the start of the first descent,very accommodating.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Snow level at 400m but thawing.The snow high on the mountain was still powdery, unfortunatly it became very heavy below 600m. Not a lot of snow but the westerly aspects in burns, gullies etc are holding lots of drifted snow....Get out there.......quickly......

Loch Turret circuit, including Auchnafray Hill, Ben Chonzie and Carn Chois.

:: Weather Conditions
sunny and cold.

Saw 100's of white hares.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
15 minute walk at start and end of tour. Snow thin in places. Very fast conditions. Mainly icy and sometimes rutted making skiing downhill difficult. Any melting would make sections impassible.

From Ben Lawers car park, planned to ski NW from summit of Ben Lawers, but bottled out at 1000m on Beinn Ghlas as glasses misting over, flat light and new slow sliding away. No photos of the whiteout, sorry.
:: Weather Conditions
Cloud level 700m and light snow showers. Cold start, with freezing level at 300m, rising to 3000m by the time the (forecast) heavy precipitation and strong winds arrived at half three.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Good infill on west face, but too heavy for pleasant skiing on this occasion. Previous night's snow enabled me to grass ski to 500m. Serious snow on west face started at 750m.

Ben Challum - Kirkton farm to south summit and then along corniced narrow section to main summit
:: Weather Conditions
Cloudy to 550m during the ascent but lifted to 900m later in the afternoon before the weather really closed in. Freezing down to the car first thing but rising during the day to 750m
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Skis on at 600m with excellent snow above 700m. snow depth uniformly 30cm but perhaps 70cm higher up with large drifts over 2m depth. Windslab above 850m on easterly aspects and readily breaking away. Overall excellent cover with no base although the grassy slopes helped with very few rocks. Great to be out so early !
