Down a narrow, and only streak of snow on the south, i.e. back face of Meall a' Bhuiridh. Obvious next step: climb back up. Actual next step, traverse scree and sharp rock to the Bealach and up Creise to do the face so often inspected from the garden of the King's House Hotel. Clath Leathad offered a tempting alternative, but Creise was a better choice. I attempted a long traverse back beneath the ridge but got too low by mistake, regaining the top of Meall a' Bhuiridh via more steep screes and sharp rocks. Strangely, given the fabulous weather and views, it all felt worth it.
:: Weather Conditions
Fabulous. What freezing level?
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
You may not believe this, but the snow was as good as Spring Snow gets, i.e. better than powder. Only 1" of soft over a very firm base.

From the Hidden Valley car park in Glen Coe to the top of the climber's gulley to the North and slightly West of the peak of Stob Coire nan Lochan. Descended the gulley and climbed it again, continuing in a traverse behind the peak to the bealach and climbing Bidean nam Bian. Descended the broad north east face directly, dropping 2,000 feet down into the Hidden Valley. Climbed Lochan again and skied the north face on line to East of peak. Followed the valley until the snow ran out.

Snow was 1 hour walk from car.
:: Weather Conditions
Impeccable. Freezing at 2,500 feet.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
High up the snow was smoothe and hard with some grip. There was some breakable crust lower down and it became heavier towards the snow line.

Took the rough track to the foot of Sron na Creise, climbed it via the north ridge "it looked easier from below"....

From here traversed over the summit of Creise itself and then managed to board down to the bealach between it and Meall a' Buiridh.

A video of the action here -
http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=6402449714202536006

Ascended Meall a' Buiridh and then boarded (well fiona trundled) down the main basin.

Fiona linked snow patches down to the access lift on her blades.
I had an adventure in the canyon, lets just say my ice axe came in handy... Then linked a few snow fields to the chair lift.

Then walk down the hill to the carpark. Managed to board around 100m of it (really nice snow)
:: Weather Conditions
Cold & cloudy first thing then gloriously sunny.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Lots of snow in Creises corries although its highly corniced with recent avalanche activity.
No snow on the summits themselves.
Boiler plate quality which my edges couldnt grip improving to nice spring snow near the bealach.
